This lunch meeting will be about ‘leadership and social added value’. What does ‘work like it is meant to be’ look like in practice? What is the role of leadership in this matter? What does recent research say about this? During this lunch meeting of the LLC insights from practice and theory will be linked.

Johan van Maanen, Owner and Storyteller at Van Maanen’s Bakery
Van Maanen bakery is known as the biggest artisanal baker of the Netherlands, who realised a growth of 300% over the last 5 years. This is based on the chosen route for happiness and talent development. Johan shares his views in the field of work pleasure, leadership and social added value during this lunch.
Ben Kuipers, Associate Professor Public Administration and Director LLC
Dr. Ben Kuipers is associate professor Public Administration at Leiden University and director of the Leiden Leadership Centre. Besides, he is organization developer at Verbetervermogen and co-founder and board member of the Public Leadership Foundation. In his lecture, Ben will go into the results of recent research into leadership and purpose in health care.

Room 4.78 (4th floor) in the Wijnhaven building (Turfmarkt 99, The Hague) will open for this lunch at 11.30. At 12.00 the programme will start. The lunch meeting will finish at 13.00. Lunch will be provided by Van Maanen Bakery. Participation in the lunch meeting is on invitation, the deadline for registration is Friday, 29 June.
