On June 18, 2018, the symposium 'The Interdisciplinary Study of Societal Challenges' will take place at UC The Hague as part of the activities around prof. Mesman's inaugural address on the same day. The symposium is intended for all scholars interested in learning more about the opportunities, challenges, benefits, and practicalities of interdisciplinary teaching and research. It aims to provide a series of examples (in brief pitch format) of projects, courses and initiatives across a wide range of themes that fit within the broader framework of societal challenges, followed by an interactive session that allows for the exchange of ideas and experiences, as well as interdisciplinary networking and the exploration of potential future collaborations.
Registration
Attendance (including lunch) is free. Please find the symposium in the attachment, and register via this link.
Registration for the inaugural address (June 18, 2018 at 16.00 hrs in Leiden) can be done via the university website.
