Together with Rijksmuseum Boerhaave, the Lorentz Center organizes the public event ‘Brains, Robots and Dance’.

Between the 3rd and the 8th of June, a group of experts in neuroscience, robotics and dance, will gather at the Lorentz Center to investigate how humans read meaning in movement. Their hypotheses are that the capacity to capture significance in very subtle global movement patterns seems innate, processing it in grammar-like ways that may be essential mechanisms for the emergence of language.

In this public event they will present 2-3 short performance/ lecture-demonstrations, introducing the most relevant issues they will be working on during the week. Afterwards, a panel will be formed, answering questions from the audience and entering in public discussion.
