Celebrate with us the one-year anniversary of the opening of the Meeting Point for Refugee Students, the place where students with a migrant background can get together. This is also UN Refugee Day that aims to draw attention to the situation for millions of refugees throughout the world.
We will look back at what we have achieved over the past year, and inspiring speakers will talk about their experiences. There will be interactive sessions with the opportunity for discussion, interspersed with music and poetry. A light meal will also be provided.
Stands
Organisations that want to show what they can do for refugees are welcome to come and present their services. If you would like to use one of the stands, please send an email to meetingpoint@sea.leidenuniv.nl

About the Meeting Point
Leiden University has a clear responsibility, now and in the future, to promote the integration of newcomers, including refugees. To achieve this aim, in 2016 the university set up the Meeting Point for Refugee Students. This is a place where everyone - students, staff, Dutch and non-Dutch - can come together to seek or offer support with their studies or career. Input from students helps policy-makers revise outdated guidelines and procedures.
