Eastern Iberia during the Iron Age is characterized by the development of social complexity, the emergence of urbanism, early states, agricultural intensification and the introduction of Iberian local economies into Mediterranean exchange systems.Through surveys assisted by geospatial technologies we track the social dynamics of Iberian peoples. This lecture will illustrate these developments with the results of archaeological research conducted in the Valley of Alcoi (Valencia Region).
