Fleur Ravensbergen is the Assistant Director and co-founder of the Dialogue Advisory Group (DAG), an Amsterdam-based NGO that facilitates political dialogue to reduce violence. In her role, she is active in conflict mediation, including heading delegations, facilitating mediations, negotiating terms of deals, frequent travel to conflict areas and has been involved in two disarmaments. She worked in Iraq, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Northern Ireland and the Basque Country amongst other places. She was the coordinator of the International Verification Commission that verified the end of violence by ETA in the Basque Country from 2011-2017. This role ended with the IVCs involvement of the disarmement of ETA in April of 2017. In addition to her work at DAG lectures at University of Amsterdam, and regularly appears in the media and public events to speak about her work. She previously worked for the Dutch Ministry of Development Cooperation and the Dutch Labour Party. She holds a Master of Laws (LL.M.) and an M.Sc. in Political Science and International Relations from University of Amsterdam, and completed a Postgraduate Summerschool in Social Science research methods at The University of Hong Kong.
