Andrei Poama is Assistant Professor at the Institute of Public Administration at Leiden University. He works on normative theories of punishment, criminal justice ethics, the connection between principles of justice and the problem of (government) authority, the ethics of public policy, and democratic theory (with a focus on the epistemic implications of lay participation in governmental decision-making processes). He is currently co-editing the Routledge Handbook of Ethics and Public Policy.
