Arjan Post will defend his dissertation 'The Journey of a Taymiyyan Sufi: Sufism Through the Eyes of ʿImād al-Dīn Aḥmad al-Wāsiṭī (d. 711/1311)' at 12.45 in the Senaatzaal. Location: Academiegebouw, Domplein 29, 3512 JE Utrecht.
Prior to the defence there will be a symposium with presentations by several scholars from the fields of Mamluk and Taymiyyan studies.
