On Thursday 16 November, Leiden University has the honor of receiving HE Jana Reinišová, Ambassador of the Czech Republic to the Netherlands. She will deliver a speech in the framework of the European Union Seminar Series, jointly organized by the master's programme in International Relations and the Institute for History and the Europa Institute at the Leiden Law School.
Jana Reinišová is Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Czech Republic to the Kingdom of the Netherlands since 2015. From 1994-2005 Ambassador Reinišová worked in the area of the European Integration. She was involved in the negotiations on the accession of the Czech Republic to the European Union, inter alia as a Deputy Director, Department for the Coordination of Relations with the EU, Director, Department for the Internal Market and Sectoral Policies. From 2005-2011 she was the Deputy Permanent Representative of the Czech Republic to the European Union in Brussels. From 2011-2014 she was the Director General of Legal and Consular Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Prague.
In her lecture the Ambassador will elaborate on her experience, both personal and professional, in working in and with the EU.
