Carlo Trojan has been the most important Dutch official in the field of external trade in the EU and was considered to be the most powerful civil servant of the Netherlands. In his distinguished career, Carlo was a Dutch and European official, member of the Cabinet of Dutch Commissioner Pierre Lardinois, Advisor for Agriculture at the Dutch Representation in Brussels, Cabinet Manager of the Dutch Commissioner Frans Andriessen, Deputy Secretary-General of the European Commission, and Secretary-General of the European Commission. Ever since his retirement, Carlo is highly frequented for advisory assignments and his expertise in European and international trade affairs. Most recently he contributed to an advisory report for the Dutch parliament about Brexit. Caro holds a Law degree from Leiden University.
