LIMS Talk by Stefania Bortolotti and Nana Osei (Voice4Thought): ‘Migration and  Cinema: Unheard Voices in Italy. An experience of a  participatory short film: My Name is Wasky’

The first LIMS seminar of the semester on 27 September will adopt a slightly different format to normal because it is being jointly held with the Voice4Thought festival. This year’s Voice4Thought brings together voices from the fields of arts, education, activism and the academic world to discuss and reflect upon Digital Radicalisation. Our two speakers will be talking about and screening a 22 minute film (see trailer) they made about the experience of African migrants in Italy.

The Leiden Interdisciplinary Migration Seminars (LIMS) aim at fostering further discussion across disciplines on migration-related topics and creating an open dialogue between the speakers and the attendees. The seminars are a platform for those at Leiden University working on migration-related topics.
