Eduard Slootweg is Head of the Bureau of Information (Huis van Europa) of the European Parliament for the Netherlands, based in The Hague.
The Bureau of Information represents the European Parliament and the MEPs in the Netherlands. As one of its main tasks, the Bureau is responsible for engaging Dutch citizens with and keeping abreast of developments in European politics and the specific role of the European Parliament therein. It frequently hosts leading leading politicians, diplomats and others such as Ambassadors, former Ministers and the President of the International Criminal Court, as well as experts from bodies such as European External Action Service and Oxfam. Prior to assuming the position of Head of the Bureau of Information in The Hague, Eduard worked for the EPP Group in the European Parliament and for the Dutch Interprovincial Organisation IPO. Eduard holds a Master in Social and Economic History from Leiden University.
