Mind, Text and Mining” is a multidisciplinary group of researchers in the Netherlands which organises regularly occurring seminars to explore the affordances and limitations of scholarship based on quantitative and algorithmic methods. The main aim of these seminars is to facilitate discussions of new methodologies and to exchange best practices in research projects based on text and data mining.

Programme:

   

    -       Welcome by Laurents Sesink, head of the Centre for Digital Scholarship

    -       Presentation on the relationship between data, algorithms and interpretation by dr. Peter Verhaar

    -       Roundtable discussion on the theoretical issues underpinning research based on text and data mining
