LEBEN stands for Leiden Evolution Biodiversity and Environment Network. This network started as a result of informal scientific meetings since 2014 between the IBL, CML, Hortus Botanicus and Naturalis, leading to this first symposium.

14.15 – 14.45    Prof.Dr. Peter van Bodegom (CML) – 'Going beyond description: quantifying ecosystem services for an optimal management of our landscape’

14.45 – 15.15    Dr. Martina Vijver (CML) – ‘Scientific research challenges experimentally tested in outdoor facility 'Levend Lab'. The bridge between lab and field’
