How safe do you feel? Society is changing and the fear of radicalization is increasing. Who takes care of our safety every day? These kind of questions are discussed in the media more and more often. Safetyis an issue that controls our daily life and leads to the formation of new laws to ensure our safety. Have you ever considered what the consequences of these laws are?
You must have asked yourself these kinds of questions. Maybe you have dealt with it in a series of lectures or read about it in a news item. “Safety” is a theme of increasing importance in our current society. And this safety we see, is ensured in more than one way. The medicines you take, for instance, are only legislated after thorough research in order to ensure your well-being and quick recovery.
Therefore, the theme of the first Interfaculty Congress will be “Safety”. We hope to welcome you all in the KOG building on 4 April, starting at 18:45. Six lecturers, including Pieter van Vollenhoven, Dick Schoof, Bert Leufkens and Ad Verbrugge, will share their views on safety. They will approach their subjects in an accessible manner, ensuring you can understand every speaker at the congress, independent of your field of study.
Would you like to delve deeper into this subject and learn more about the society you live in? There is no admission fee and afterwards you can enjoy some drinks.
All you have to do, is sign up.
