How can Agile methods improve the quality of project management in organizations? SAFe is an IT management and governance framework based on the advancements of Scrum. 

In this course you will acquire the knowledge necessary to lead an enterprise agile transformation by applying the Scaled Agile Framework, and its underlying principles of lean thinking, and product development flow. The course will provide you with an understanding of how the principles and practices of the framework support Agile Teams, Agile Programs, Agile Program Portfolio Management and Agile Architecture. This course is organised in collaboration with Rally Software.

This course is intended for executives, IT development/QA/program managers, change agents (coaches), anyone helping lead or participating in a SAFe rollout.

Core teaching staff
Ken Clyne is responsible for supporting large organizations through their transformation to business agility at Rally Software. Ken has over 14 years of experience in helping organizations adopting agile.

Dr. Christoph Johann Stettina is the Agile for Excellence lead at Leiden University. Christoph will support the course by providing academic perspectives and links to empirical evidence.

Certification Details
The SAFe Agilist certification program is for executives, managers and Agile change agents responsible for leading a Lean | Agile change initiative in a large software enterprise. This certification validates knowledge in applying the Scaled Agile Framework, lean, and product development flow principles in an enterprise context for leading the adoption of the Scaled Agile Framework.

Certification Prerequisites and Process:
• 5+ years of experience in software development, testing, business analysis, product or project management
• Attend the 2-day Leading SAFe course and pass the SA exam

Additional Benefits
Participants of this course will be eligible to apply for 14 PDU's toward their continuing education requirements with the PMI (Project Management Institute) for a 2-day class or 21 PDU’s for a 3-day class.
Class registration includes a copy of course materials for personal use along with initial certification and exam fee.
