Networking symposium for young group leaders in Chemistry
Do you know your fellow assistant professors in the Netherlands? What are they working on?
Are you interested in collaborating with them? Where will you apply for your next round of funding?
The NextGenChem@NL 2015 symposium aims to bring together the future group leaders in chemistry. For the second time in the Netherlands, we are organising a meeting specifically targeted to young faculty (assistant professors, tenure trackers, VENI/VIDI laureates).
In early October 2014, the inaugural NextGenChem@NL symposium was successfully launched at the Institute for Complex Molecular Systems (ICMS), Eindhoven University of Technology. The aim of the symposium was to offer aspiring postdoctoral researchers, assistant professors and tenure trackers within The Netherlands a unique opportunity to meet, showcase their latest research and form scientific networks and collaborations. Each participant had the opportunity to present his/her research both as an oral presentation and during the poster session in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. The scientific program combined with the social component promoted a lot of stimulating interactions and lively discussions amongst the participants.
We are pleased to announce now the second NexGenChem symposium that will take place early June 2015. In this meeting, we hope to offer an exciting program with ample time for discussion in enjoyable atmosphere in the city of Leiden. Looking forward to meet you at NextGenChem@NL 2015!
