About the lecture
An international expert in (medical) biology talks about his or her field in a special public lecture.
In 2019, the Faculty of Science and the Biowetenschappen en Maatschappij foundation(BWM) launch a new series of Niko Tinbergen lectures. The lecture of an expert in (medical) biology shows how science may contribute to societal challenges; what scientific innovation can entail and what this can mean for our future. In addition to a renowned international speaker, young speakers from the Faculty of Science and Leiden University Medical Center will take the stage. They will present their research in an accessible manner prior to the main speaker.
The lecture can be attended free of charge and is suitable to a wide audience. Young audiences (18+) are also very welcome. Listeners can submit questions prior to the lecture.
