Healthy University- Let's Walk Week 2021
How do you stay fit in these challenging times? How does being active increase your physical and mental health? That is where we would like to focus on during the first Healthy University- Let’s Walk Week 2021, which will take place from 1 to 5 March 2021! Due to the corona measures, Healthy University- Let's Walk Week 2021 will take place online, however that has not held Healthy University Leiden back from creating a program full of interesting inspirational sessions, office work-outs and sports lessons. Would you also like an extra challenge? Join our walking competition in the Ommetje app. Challenge your colleagues to as many ommetjes as possible as part of the walking competition taking place from 1 March to 30 April. With your walks you can win, as an individual, faculty or department together, many prizes! Join in!
How do you stay healthy and energetic while working (from home)? Would you like to learn more about healthy eating, getting enough physical exercise and how to stay balanced? Have you always wanted to see whether yoga or pilates might be your thing? See our program here. During the Healthy University- Let's Walk Week 2021 week, we offer interesting online inspiration sessions, live office work-outs and training sessions in collaboration with the USC . All the activities are accessible for free for all employees of Leiden University and the LUMC. You can find the schedule and registration forms here but be quick as there is a limited capacity for some activities.
Both Leiden University and LUMC are part of Healthy University Leiden and strive to create a learning environment and organizational culture that enhances the health and well-being of students and employees and promotes sustainability. This year we propagate this not only by organizing the annual Healthy University Week for our staff member, but also the first edition of the Healthy University- Let's Walk 2021 week. We have also bundled useful tips and tricks for a healthy lifestyle in our online HU @ Home file. Don't forget to take a look there too!
