Workshop Weekend from inside out: grounding and releasing
Saturday 5 & Sunday 6 November from 10:00-13:00 h
- Thu Hang Pham
Fot those with some dance experience.
In this workshop the aim is to move from inside out and to connect with our body. Through improvisation tasks and a set choreography the goal is to experience the feeling of getting out of our heads and let our bodies speak. We will focus on how to be strong and bold but also on how to be soft and gentle while moving. We will research these elements in relationship to moments of grounding, tensing and releasing. How much tension do we need in the muscles and where can we release?
Thu Hang Pham (1992) has gained experience with, among others, 5 o'clock class (Theaterschool, Amsterdam), Peridance Capezio Center (New York City) and Kibbutz Contemporary Dance Center (Israel). She has been trained in various styles in recent years, but soon found out that modern / contemporary dance suits her best. Points of attention in her lesson are floorwork, orientation, musicality, dynamics and creating awareness about using the muscles while dancing.
