Jazz Burlesque beginners/intermediate
Friday from 17:30-18:30
- Michelle Boelee
Beginners/intermediate in Jazz Burlesque and beginners/intermediate in dance
Jazz Burlesque takes you back to the roaring 1920’s, when dancing became exhilarating, cheerful and sexy. Michelle will introduce you to not only Burlesque, but also dance styles such as Charleston, Black Bottom, Shimmy and Lindy Hop. The class will start with a challenging warm-up, followed by technical jazz and strengthening exercises. After that we will focus on the different dance styles and we will work on a sizzling choreography!
The LAK is entitled to move a student to a higher level.
This will always be done in consultation with the teacher and student.
Michelle Boelee has always had a passion for dance. She started with ballet and developed herself as a dancer across genres with a specialization in classical ballet, jazz ballet and contemporary dance. Even in her studies at the Utrecht University and Erasmus University she specialized after her specialization in social psychology (MSc) in cultural sociology (MA) as well, with a profound academic interest and focus in kinaesthetica, i.e. the aesthetics of movement. And she occasionally teaches Arts and Culture students at the Erasmus University. But above all, her biggest passion is teaching dance and yoga.
