Get a taste of Security Studies, take part in the Student for a Day event!

Do you read the international news with interest, seeking the interaction between global (security) events and their effect on people, nations and organisations? Are you an engaged and curious critical thinker? Are you stimulated to find solutions to the crucial security and safety issues that arise every day? And would you like to get a better idea of what the BSc Security Studies programme is like?  If so, your chance is here!

Who can participate?

To participate in the Student-for-a-Day event, you preferably visited our Open Day (and / or Experience Day). In any case you should be in your final or next-to-final year of university preparatory high school. 

What can you expect?

Attend a lecture together with current students, get a tour of the faculty building and discuss your questions with current students. You will be guided by one of our student information officers. 

The programme will be as follows:
12:30 – 13:00 hrs    Welcome and a campus tour (Wijnhaven)
13:15 – 14:15 hrs     Joining (first part of the lecture), Economics of Security with Dr. Max van Lent 'Cost-benefit analysis, and a Guest Lecture by Frits Bos (CPB)'
14:15 – 14:30 hrs     Questions
