The first official Mathematics Day

UNESCO has declared 14 March, also known as Pi Day, as the International Day of Mathematics. This year, the first official celebration will take place. EWM-NL, the Dutch branch of the European Women in Mathematics association, with support from Platform Wiskunde Nederland, has decided to organise an event at the Faculty of Science on this occasion.

The event is open to a general audience, however, a background in mathematics is advised.
This symposium is organised by Francesca Arici, Olfa Jaïbi and Rianne de Heide from the Mathematical Institute.

If you are interested in attending this event, please send an email to Francesca Arici or to EWM-NL
