On the 11th of may the study association of the master Chemistry, also known as the Chemisch Dispuut Leiden, will organize a symposium to celebrate their 90th anniversary. After the opening official opening and the first plenary lecture, there will be four parallel sessions here in the Gorlaeus laboratory followed by a presentation of the closing plenary speaker. The themes of the lecture rooms are dedicated to the main tracks of the research master, Chemical biology and Energy & Sustainability. Besides several researchers from universities here in the Netherlands, we are happy to announce our key speakers: Sjors Scheres (MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology, Cambridge) and Axel Gross (Ulm University, Ulm).

The theme of the symposium is Bonding Through Chemistry. Which is not only about the bonds between atoms and molecules, but also about collaborations between different disciplines in chemistry and society. This symposium is the ideal place to discuss chemistry with colleagues and find out what is happening at different universities. The price of symposium is €3 and includes not only a lunch, coffee & tea, but also some networking drinks afterwards.
